ForgeScanner (the "App") and the website at scanner.forgestudiofx.com are operated by an independent individual developer trading under the name "ForgeStudio FX" ("we", "us"). ForgeScanner scans the forex and gold markets for chart patterns and reports each pattern's backtested hit-rate with its sample size. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have over your data.

2.1 Information you provide

• Account data — email address, display name, and preferred language. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google; we never receive your Google password.
• Scanner preferences — the pairs, timeframes, and pattern types you choose to watch, and your alert settings.
• Support correspondence — emails you send us, including any attachments.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device and diagnostics — device model, operating system version, app version, and crash reports (sent to a third-party crash-reporting service, scrubbed of personal identifiers, to help us fix crashes).
• Push notification tokens — anonymous device identifiers from our push-notification provider, used only to deliver the pattern alerts you enable.
• Purchase tokens — if you subscribe, Google Play purchase receipts (handled by our subscription-management provider) to validate your entitlement. We never receive your card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the service — run scans, detect patterns, deliver the alerts you enable, and store your preferences so they're available when you sign in from another device.
• Market data — we fetch forex and gold prices from a third-party market-data provider to detect patterns and compute hit-rates. No personal data is shared to obtain prices.
• Improve the product — analyze anonymized crash and diagnostic reports to fix bugs and improve stability.
• Communicate — send transactional emails (such as password reset or payment receipts) and, only if you opt in, occasional product updates.
• Security and abuse prevention — detect fraud, account takeover, and policy violations.
• Legal compliance — respond to lawful requests from authorities.

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with the service providers that run the app:

• Cloud database & authentication — stores your account and preferences and verifies sign-in.
• Push notifications — delivers the pattern alerts you enable to your device.
• Subscription & payment processing — manages Google Play purchases and your entitlement (we never receive card details).
• Error & crash diagnostics — receives anonymized crash and performance data, scrubbed of personal identifiers.
• Market data — supplies forex and gold prices (no user data is shared).

5. Data Retention

• Account and preference data — kept as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Diagnostic logs — kept 30 days, then anonymized or deleted.
• Tax/billing records — kept up to 10 years where required by law, even after account deletion.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for optional processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@forgestudiofx.com.

ForgeScanner is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
